Sachin: Story of Courage and battle | English

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar:

On the day of 15 November 1989, a sixteen-year-old child was going onto the field with his bat-like sword. Pakistani pace gun attack Wasim Akram, Aaqib Javed, Imran Khan and great spinner Abdul Kadir saw a little kid walking on the side of the 22-yard. Wasim Akram said with tease "Who is this child." And he laughed at the innocent face.

First time in life Sachin Tendulkar was facing Akram who was the world's best in the business and king of swing and bounce. Dug out in a deep breath and gazed at this young boy. And suddenly Legendary Wasim's bouncer hit on Sachin's nose and started bleeding. India's coach, Captain and Everyone gave suggestions to leave the ground to Tendulkar.

But he denies it by saying "I will play" and he continued to play. Sachin hits 54 runs in that match showing his class, elegance, and temperament by hitting three boundaries in a row to Akram and he declared his debut roaring that he is not only come to make a run but to build a milestone, I'm not in the rat race, I'm a long-race horse.

Duel War between Shen Warne and Sachin is world famous. Who could forget Sachin's storm retort against this legendary spinner in Sharjah?

In cricket, Sachin is not only a name but also an emotion. He was a master of every cricketing shot: straight drive, uppercut, square cut, cover drive. With lots of hard work, he achieved mastery in every angle of the ground. World famous six to Shoaib Akhtar in ICC World Cup 2003 is still an iconic moment in a cricket history book, he also won the golden bat for this World Cup as he smashed more than six hundred runs with a couple of centuries.

He achieved so many records on the field. He is the first player to complete 10000 runs in test cricket, He played most number of matches in test and one-day cricket. Record of 100 centuries, highest run-getter in test and one day, first two hundred runs in one day, the most man of the matches and man of the series all records are joined with the name of this legend.

Sachin faced the toughest bowler of his era like Akram, Akhtar, Bret Lee, Glen Megrath, Shen Warne, Muralidharan, Anderson and many others. Imagined there was no powerplay rule like today, still, Sachin made the Milestone like Mount Everest.

On November 2013 he announced his retirement from Cricket and the world went into deep grief and emotions. Sachin gave us many cherishing moments, In India cricket is like religion and he is the god of it.

Cricket is a gentlemen's game and Sachin is the Maestro of it. He is not only the greatest cricketer but he is also a great human being. He achieved as no one could imagine but he is still so simple and down-to-earth person.

He does lots of charity for needy people and worked for 2-3 orphan institutions. He never found it in any controversy.

Sachin always said,

“If Destiny throws a stone at you, don't let it become a millstone. Make it into a milestone.” See dream one day it will come true.

He Had to wait six World Cups to win a first.

His patience, hard work, determination towards the game, simplicity, courage, intent, persistence, and continues effort to make the game better, inspire every generation.

He was awarded India's highest civilian award Bharatratna and Australia's Order of Honour award. Today he celebrating his 50th birthday. Wish you many many happy returns of the day The Master blaster great Sachin Tendulkar.
